It is with great pleasure that we would like to introduce you to Orthosmile’s new Growth and Guidance Programme. The idea behind the programme is to provide children with the opportunity to start orthodontic treatment at the most beneficial time to them.

The British Orthodontic Society recommends first assessing children for orthodontic issues around the age of seven – usually coinciding with when the permanent incisors should have come through. Bringing children in earlier, rather than when all their adult teeth have come through, can help us notice problems before they become of greater concern and time consuming to manage. At this age, teeth are still developing and jaws are still growing, which means that not only are certain conditions easier to address, interceptive orthodontics may significantly reduce the complexity of work that may be needed to done at a later stage[MA1] .

The Orthosmile Growth and Guidance Programme will help your child get a head start on their orthodontic treatment. With flexible appointments outside school hours and on Saturday’s, your child will be welcomed into the practice for a comprehensive and painless examination by one of our specialist orthodontists. Where immediate intervention is not needed, we can review and monitor your child’s dental development and begin treatment at the right time. The best part is that the programme is complimentary and you will always be informed if your child qualifies for NHS treatment.

The Orthosmile Growth and Guidance Programme ensures that every child receives the necessary treatment, delivered at the time that suits their needs, giving them the chance to have a beautiful smile and the best start in life.
